When the exhaustion hits or you want a morning or midday pick me up, this iced brown sugar matcha latte is the way to go. This refreshing beverage has subtle earthy notes and the caffeine you need to get you through the day without the jitters that coffee gives you. This recipe gives off notes of sweetness combined with a subtle earthy undertone that cuts through the sweetness. These flavors blend so flawlessly together that you will never go back to an average matcha latte ever again!
Directions:
Start by sifting the matcha into a bowl and whisking the powder with hot water (in a "z" formation) until you achieve a smooth, frothy consistency. (If you have a traditional bamboo whisk, even better!)
In a small frying/saucepan add the brown sugar and cold water on medium-low heat until fully dissolved. Once it is brought to a slight boil take off heat and let sit until mostly cooled.
Fill your glass with ice.
Pour the almond milk over the ice, followed by your brown sugar syrup (as much as you'd like) and stir.
Add your whisked matcha, and voila—your iced brown sugar matcha latte is ready!
Ingredients:
1-2 packets Pique Sungoddess Matcha
2-3 oz hot water
2 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons Portland Syrups Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
Ice cubes
